Speculative and Meme Stocks
High risk ETFs for anyone who wants to YOLO their hard earned cash.
These types of ETFs are often launched if a new investment theme becomes super popular. They're usually in the technology sector and it's all too common for the industry to crash as it fails to become truly world changing or profitable. An example of this is 3D printing. This technology promised much, but outside of small hobbyist niches and product prototyping it has never really achieved much of a return on shareholder capital.
Blockchain is another technology that generated a huge amount of hype but never really became mainstream.
Cryptocurrencies
Cryptocurrency ETFs are an alternative to holding crypto coins directly.
It is also possible to invest in crypto exchange companies and those using blockchain technology.
